They contain maltodextrin, a hybrid gelatin base. Whenever I see the word gelatin, which is an animal product in any form, I avoid it. Also, these corn rice cakes are not very nutritious. If you want rice cakes, Lundberg is the best, as they are vegan, non-GMO and gluten free. They are definitely not beautiful, but it is better to use nuts. If you want something sweet, stop.
