Bid Adjustment - How To Discuss

Bid Adjustment

Bid adjustments give you more control over your campaign budget and/or ad set. You can set a high or low rate for:

  • tablets, computers, mobile phones,
  • Geographic locations of countries, cities, provinces, regions and even geocodes,
  • announcement calendar,
  • Most viewed content on YouTube and the Display Network,
  • targeting methods (topics, locations, etc.),
  • remarketing lists,
  • Demographics, gender, age, income,
  • Custom call settings, including call-only ads and call extensions.

Bid adjustments are available for Search Network, Display Network, Product and Video campaigns, but not in any of the above categories.

Practical bid adjustment

Let's say your ad campaign works well on computers. In this case, you can increase the compensation for computers, for example, by 20%. This will increase your desktop bid, but your ad will be shown to more people at the same time.

On the other hand, if you don't want your ad to show on mobile devices, you can set the setting to 100% so that your ads don't show on that type of device.
