Can anyone else leave a check for me? 3

I wondered if it was possible for a family member to leave a check for me without me being there.

If I give my account number etc., can they go to my bank and say that they have deposited for me? It's not like they took money from me because they saw on the account that my account name matched the check.

Has anyone done this for anyone?
