Well I played "Wow" a few weeks ago and found new extensions like bc and wotlk where you can go to other areas and there are searches but I checked the Catalytic ads on YouTube and it was Azth's right hand. It's about being like Lava and it's all good but now I'm stupid because it happens to everyone or as soon as you load the extension or what?

This has not happened yet. The ceremony will take place immediately after the catastrophe. One or two weeks after launch, Wow will close and the deadline will allow Blizzard to make changes.

Even if you don't have Cataclysm, things will change. It will affect everyone, whether they are in a natural disaster or not. This is a global event.

Overall, you only need extensions to access attacks, items, queries, etc.
