TaxCut displays entries for field 14 of W2 for CA CSDI, CA VPDI, CA VD, CA VP, CA VI, and CA SDI. Anyway, does my W2 sws CA VDI guess what it is and why should I include it in the tax declaration in the 2005 declaration?
For your purposes, VDI should be considered as SDI. Some employers choose to use their personal plan (VDI) instead of State Plan (SDI). Because many tax software developers are not aware of this difference, they do not include it in their program. By the way, VDI is interchangeable with CA VPDI through several different abbreviations.
