The Chase app has an area where you can take a picture of the check and collect it. I was wondering if I could do the same with savings bonds.
Absolutely not. Savings bonds are not checks. And to submit them, you need to complete some paperwork so that they can issue you your tax forms.

When they are 20 years old, they buy when the interest rate is very high. You can get 12%, no problem. My ING Direct account earns less than 5%. If you can't keep food on your desk or drive to and from work, change them, but you make more money than other alternatives. If you can get a credit card with low interest rates and use and pay for it responsibly, this can be a great alternative.
