Communities
Communities of interest and communities of practice (CoPs) have more structure and purpose than open social networking sites. As with its predecessors (message boards or list servers), members of the community are tied to their interest in a topic. When a CoP is formed within an organization, it has identified members and expects these results.
Google+ users can join communities of people with similar interests, such as cooking or gaming. You can chat, share and read articles published in the community. A community can contain up to 350,000 people!
