I have a cough medicine that expired on 7/2008 and there are some that don't have an expiration date, but I bought it on 2/2007, can I keep them? I have no one else on duty and I have a sore throat.
Can't be so effective. I picked up some old things and nothing happened to me.

You won't get sick, it may be a little less effective, but the medicine will stay safe for 10 years from the expiration date and still work well.

You should stop eating after the date of use, cough medicine is no different. Go and buy a new one.
They are usually less effective, but they will not harm you. It is not a good idea to carry expired medicines.
