Does Acrylic Paint Clog Drains
Can I remove dry paint from a bathtub drain without calling a plumber? 3
I managed to cover my bathtub drain with acrylic paint and I'm not sure I can remove it. My bathtub was unusable and I was reluctant to use it because I was told it could make matters worse. No suggestions?
It may be rough, but isopropyl wines (also called isopropyl wines) soften and dissolve dry latex paint, but not too quickly.
Or if you mean really acrylic (not latex), mix ammonia, salt and vinegar based on another source.
Add some solution, let it sit for a few minutes, and maybe cover with plastic wrap to reduce odor and vapor. Then use a sharp object (such as a screwdriver) to pierce the left. Once opened, a mixture of alcohol / ink may come out.
Alcohol is flammable, be careful.
Acetone may work, but it is more volatile than the previous solution. Use as Plan B.
Acrylic paint is exactly what acrylic says. Removing waterproof paint is almost impossible. Even if you are just sitting on the U-turn of the bathtub drain pipe, it is cheaper to buy a new U-turn from the hardware store and assemble it yourself with patience and skill. Understandably, this is a simple task that takes 15 minutes. If the paint is still wet or paste, wash it off with cold water using a drain stick (a small piece of flexible wire) to encourage the paint to break and flow. Then wash the drain with coolant to remove any residue.
Otherwise, contact a plumber.
For example, please and good l
He probably filled the P-Trap with paint under the bathtub. You see a large block. I can't imagine that a thin layer of sewage paint could do any harm. For stubborn slaves, I use Baron Drain Cleaner. It is a very strong acid. I have never tried acrylic paint before. And if you have a metal drain tube, don't use it. Also, it may be necessary to replace the mesh.
Today most paints are based on latex (water) instead of oil.
Works with dilute oil-based paints, not latex.
In addition, paint paints are highly toxic and flammable and seriously contaminate the local water supply.
Rinse with clean water and use the spiral drain available at most hardware stores.
You can call the plumber the other way.
k half oil based paints, the only thing you can try are commercial drain cleaners, they work for many people, read the instructions carefully. Loose or at another hardware store
