Emv
EMV stands for Europay, Mastercard, Visa. This technology is the worldwide standard for credit cards, which use computer chips to verify (and protect) smart card transactions. Because this technology encrypts banking information, it is much more secure than magnetic stripe cards (which contain static cardholder information). Read more about EMC standards.
