I have had GHD for 12 months (up to 16 months) so I am no longer under warranty. It's been good so far. When I turn it on, it warms up and makes a normal sound when heated, but it makes a noise every 15 seconds or so. Is there a way to stop it?

Hi, I did a Google search for your query because my wife's GHD had the same problem, getting hot and hot, but ringing every 10 seconds or so. This is a 4.2B model and the problem is the connection between the power cord and the plug with the hinge inside the GHD.
