Because darkness can mean dark, serious and practical or e, terrible. . . Both are correct. It depends on whether you want to use the word to see if it sounds good. Both verbatim and grammatically correct are difficult.

The English dictionary is correct.
Darkness means serious darkness.
What he saw was true, at least when I heard that word I thought Ford or tough, maybe terrible.
Think of cracked lips and eyebrows.
