Halftone Image

An image reproduced through a special screen made up of dots of different sizes to simulate the grayscale of the image. It is normally used to reproduce images in magazines or newspapers. This is how modern inkjet printers work. Halftoning or fading is a technique used to create a smooth hue of color against a background of different bands of color or moiré patterns.
