Hbro4

What is the name of HBrO4 compound? 3

HBrO4

The compound is bromic acid, HBrO4, an oxygen-rich bromic acid. Perbromic acid is unstable and cannot be made from perchlorate to replace chlorine because fatty acids are readily available. The acid was discovered when a sample of radioactive Se * O42 selenite melted. It is a strong strong oxidizing acid and the least stable halogen acid (VII). Upon exposure to bromic acid and oxygen, it dissolves rapidly with the evolution of bromine from bromine vapor.
