Health Information Exchange (HIE) - How To Discuss

Health Information Exchange (HIE)

Health Information Exchange (HIE) is a regional partnership between independent healthcare organizations to share clinical information. Administrative information is also often shared. Universities can be classified according to their management approach. In some countries, they may be administered by a government agency. Other HIEs may be operated by non-profit organizations with public interest boards of directors. Others are commercial industries for suppliers. The final form of HIE will be funded and monitored by Health Delivery Organizations (HDOs) to address their own business concerns, not neutralize all community stakeholders.
