I have an HP Envy x360 and there is water everywhere. Still works? 3

Now I'm with my dad, where I got my computer, and I'm leaving in two days and I'm afraid to tell him, but at the same time I wonder if I can fix it myself.

Rice is a myth: when water enters the motherboard, it triggers an electrical reaction and damages the liquid between the components, the transmission path and the electrolytes.

The purpose is to fill the motherboard with water instead of letting the corrosion dry out.

Fred is right, if it works, you know. If that doesn't work, remove the battery immediately and take it to a technician who knows how to repair SMC (Surface Mount Components) and has access to an ultrasonic cleaner to remove corrosion.

Don't try to charge or turn it on, it will only cause more damage.

If that doesn't work, it needs to be fixed. Did you turn off the power and battery immediately?
