None of the five. Our metaphysics and theology create meaning and significance in them. A child who has been mutilated by a dog may not remember the actual mutilation, but his metaphysics will always draw conclusions from the fear of dogs or the smallness of animal life or whatever.

You can be a successful animal researcher or trainer, but you always have these two elements in mind to program your emotions in animals, but not vice versa.

Cognition makes no sense when we refer to the logical process of receiving signals that the senses have been activated. Logic makes no sense. Understanding everything requires thought, metaphysics and theology.
