Last Change Hockey - How To Discuss

Last Change Hockey

What does it mean to have my last change on the team? ۔

I've heard broadcasters talk about the benefits of the latest changes, what does that mean?

This means that Team I is the last team to change lanes after stopping and so on. First, the distant team changes its line, then the distant team cannot change its line after the I team takes its line. This benefits Team U, as it gives them the ability to draw a line with their opponent (ie, create a control line with the visiting team's score line).

Visitors always come first. So my team will be the last.

The team gave me the final change as soon as the referee raised his hand. This means that Team I can strategically put some players on the ice so they can face opponents, change lines, shade (match), and so on.

This means that Team I is the last team to change lanes after stopping, and so on. First, the distant team changes its line, then the distant team cannot change its line after the I team makes its line. This gives my team an advantage because it gives them the ability to match the line with their opponent (ie establish the line of control with the visiting team's score line).

As soon as the referee raised his hand, the team gave me the final change. This means that with the Team I strategy, some players can be placed on the ice to face opponents, change lines, shadow (matches), etc.

But once the PK is over, any team can change at any time, right? So is this really an advantage?

I think they've got it covered for you.

This is especially important in closing game situations, when a team is preparing to defend or trying to make the last move on the other side of the line.
