Play mp4 files on Sony Theater? 3

When I play MP4 files over USB, it doesn't seem to work.

On my theater system, Philips claims that it can play MPEG4 files (single profile, advanced plain profile) and DivX discs (3.11, 4.x, 5.x). However, when I copy these files to CD, the player does not recognize any files. When I use one of the recorders like N or Roxi they try to convert the mp4 file to avi format which makes the file size heavier and this is actually a traditional VCD. w Save MP4 or DivX files to a CD that the player recognizes?

There are two versions of MPEG4.

MPEG4, Part 2 (Divix, xvid, etc.)

MPEG4, Part 10 (used via iTunes)

Your player can only play the first type. Who, a lot. MP4 files are of another type. . . (File format is correct but codec is incorrect)

This is a video file and is usually stored on a recordable DVD, not a CD.

. avi is actually a very common file container for mpeg4 files so it should work fine.

Then: a) Make sure you specify the correct codec (MPEG4 Part 2 or Divx).

If CD doesn't work, try copying your files to DVD.
