Definition of Multimodal bill of lading (B/L):
B / L is issued for door-to-door transport of containers which must use different aircraft and / or different means of transportation (airplane, transport, plane, truck, etc.) from the beginning to the destination. Unlike the full bill of lading, the central carrier or forwarder (issuing the multimodal B / L) is fully responsible for the entire trip under the transportation agreement and in all modes of transport. It is also called the cost of the ■■■■■ bill, the ■■■■■ bill of the building, the intermodal bill of Lemming or the multi-modal bill of Lidding.
