Two sls and one thumb scale is equal to eight ounces. In addition, sl balances a thumb and a thumb. How many ounces are emitted from SL?
I think the answer is 3, but I need help getting there and taking action. Thanks!

(# 1) 2s + 1t = 8b
(# 2) 1s = 1t + 1b
(# 1) 2s + 1t = 8b
1t = (8b 2s)
Convert to n.2.
(# 2) 1s = 1t + 1b
1s = (8b 2s) + 1b
1s = 9b 2s
3s = 9b
1s = 3b
