Sorry, I know it's old, but it's not a tomato. This is a tomato. It's not a verb, it just ends with an o. Can you tell me where you got this rule, Smedlynf? If the dictionary says it is written in a certain way, it is not typing ... it is written like this. Dan Coyle's example is also wrong. It does not spell tomato and uses only one, so here is the explanation.
