Selling A Car On Behalf Of Someone Else

Selling A Car On Behalf Of Someone Else

Am I selling the car to someone else? 3

I bought my car when I was 17, but technically it wasn't my car because it was in my father's name. I am now 23 years old and I want to sell this car and buy another one. No money was due for the car and he paid. He said he could go ahead and sell it. The problem is, my dad lives abroad.

What do I need to sell it?

All you need is your file and your signature. If you agree, sign. I sold my aunt's car while she was on vacation. He told me to sell and I did. I posted her on the Craigslist and immediately said she was my aunt, I don't know her status so take her or leave her. And they took it.

You need ■■■■ and your dad needs to sign for you.

All this can be arranged by post.

DMV (in most cases) does not verify signatures. If it is signed and you (or anyone) pay the fee, you will be happy.

Of course, if it was a stolen car, there would be problems. Just sign and go.

To be 100% legal, you need a power of attorney from Oer.

But in the real world, if you have your files and permissions, you just sign in their name, sell to the buyer as if they exist, and that's it.

In some places, the file needs to be verified, so you need to send it after signing. Other places allow you to sign your name (although this is not a kosher). Check the rules for where you live.

Send them a form entitled ll OF Sale with a power of attorney and a form (make a copy for yourself) from your state's Department of Motor Vehicles. You must have an attorney's service in this state. Send them a certified letter. Make sure you sign the file on the correct line, no mistake! Or the deletion is accepted and to make sure you understand it, they need to be notified to prove your signature.
