Sf6 Polar Or Nonpolar
Why is SF6 non-polar?
There are two polar requirements.
1: Must have polar connection. The SF connection is polar.
2: There should be a lack of balance which allows you to reduce the molecule a little and a little + half. The molecule is octahedral, meaning fully compatible.
If you are familiar with vectors, the vector amount of bond polarity is added to z.
NF6 polar or non-polar.

Sf6 Polar Or Nonpolar
It is non-polar.
The dupole comes out and the molecule is aligned, so the charges are canceled.

Why is SF6 non-polar? 3
Electrically negative values for S = 2.5 and F = 4.0. I think if there is a big difference in the negative value of electricity, it is polar. Why not polar?
There are two polar requirements.
1: Must have polar connection. SF connection is polar.
2: There should be a lack of coordination which allows you to reduce the molecule by half a little. The molecule is octahedral, meaning completely symmetrical.
If you are familiar with vectors, the vector combination of bond polarities is added to z.
It is non-polar.
The dupole comes out and the molecule is symmetrical, so the charges cancel each other out.
