Why is my Shih Tzu curly hair?

It's a mixed race, not pure Brad Shihzu's curly hair.

Unlike some of the other posters, Shatzas may have hair that is not your long, straight hair type. It's actually more wavy than curly, but tomatoes are tomatoes. The Navy is not considered a suitable breed, nor does the SW dog organization recognize it as a SW quality dog. On the other hand, they are cute little sheets like any other with soft, flowing hair. Personally, I love carefree dogs :)

I've never seen anything with knee-length hair. When it comes to curls, they have light waves in their hair, but no curls. Your Shi Zhou needs to blend in. I am sorry.

Shih Tzu Curly Hair

As mentioned earlier, wavy is good, but not curly. This breeding is clearly defined in breeding standards, so there is a genetic risk of being trapped in the breed.
Unless you plan on replacing dogs, fine. Obviously, you will not come across a dog with this type of disability.
If you have a dog, this is normal and the coat should fit well.
You have Shi Zazu, someone with curly hair (usually blends in with others), your dog is great as long as he is happy and healthy regardless of his appearance.
