I can tell you the difference between chives and chives. Onions have bulbs at the ends, while the leeks go straight to the green.
Sorry, I don't know about you and Green Tail.
Sies (or cies) is a modern spelling of the Scottish word "sold syboe". There is nothing more appealing than regular onions or garden onions! I don't know what a green tail is, but it could be an American word for a song that we'll all recognize soon. :)
