Transmission Fluid For 2007 Chevy Impala
I have a 2007 Chevrolet Impala SS. Which transmission oil should I use? I have a bottle of Dexron 6, okay? 3
Sorry, I don't have my original manual and I need to check the transmission fluid while moving or stopping the vehicle, thanks
Why do you put gear oil in the gear box? If you change the fluid, all the old transmission seals will be dissolved and your transmission will be repaired in about a month. That's why AAmco took legal action when they launched a free Anyys transmission fluid replacement campaign, knowing that they would inspect many transmissions in a few months. Don't do that

Jeans,
I researched which fluids are recommended for your Impala. On page 418 of your original manual it states that the DEXRON® VI automatic transmission fluid is exactly what GM recommends for your vehicle. I also recommend turning off the vehicle when testing for fluids. I found this useful and if you have any questions or concerns about your vehicle, please feel free to email us and we will be happy to help.

GM customer service
All F-Fluids approved for GM vehicles are for Ford only. And if you are not sure, go to your local auto parts dealer and ask the people there. They take care of these things every day and can give you what you need and why you should use it. There is nothing wrong with asking when there is a doubt, because something can go wrong and repairs can cost you money which you could have avoided.
