I am currently in NYU Polytechnic School and I am a newcomer. I plan to go this semester this spring.

In high school, my GPA is about 3.4.
It was impossible to see my grades in the first semester of university in Maryland because it would be too soon when I submitted my transcript. But i'm fine Please help ... What are my prospects?
Well, it's still hard for you because, as a second state student, you're trying to move to a public university and the fact that you're trying to move after the semester , Makes it more difficult.
UMD may not want to consider this because it has basic requirements that transfer students must meet at the time of enrollment, and since transfers are inevitable, there are also specialization requirements that must be met. Your average is good and high, but that's fine. UMD will likely consider you a transfer student and compare your academic profile with other transfer applicants. Many other candidates have completed what UMD wants and still have the best grade point average, so their college education is stronger than yours. If Maryland can't see your fall semester scores, don't even think about applying now, because they don't like to see college transfer candidates who don't have grades to change yet. Official transcripts do not contain an official note.
Successful transfers typically complete at least 2 years of general education (as a full-time student) and a good grade point average. It's not that hard to do, and if you succeed, it's not that hard to get into UMD in College Park. This is the rule of thumb for all transfer students who apply to all universities. If you work less than usual, your chances will not be so high because you are not at all level. Sure, UMD will keep your rankings high, but that doesn't mean you will perform well.
From what I've read, the selection will be based on the college courses you took at your current school and you must have completed at least 12 credits to apply. I am a former UMD and I can say that it is very competitive now, especially when it comes to relocation abroad. Do you have extracurricular activities? They say you're fine ... but what's the point? You will compete and a lot of people will probably do very well, and you should remember that students are generally preferred in the state. Your GPA must be strictly above 3.0 or will be allowed only when available.
Edit: I totally agree with Lildwood. UMD does not take into account your high school GPA (check the catalog, it only says so). If I were you I would wait a semester or two and get the highest possible GPA and fill in all your basic keys. It gives you the best cents. The competition has been fierce since I joined UMD.

I would say you have a good cent. With this result, I am a little surprised that you are not connected. Didn't you ask for it?
Isn't it quick to know whether to change or not? Isn't this a hasty transfer? It's not like I'm going to decide that, but it still amazes me.
